On the keto diet you are likely to eat 75% healthy fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbohydrates.

Why is Ketosis Important?

When your body uses fat as fuel, this is called ketosis.

This process is extremely important for a large number of reasons. The main being weight loss.

Ketosis is a way of teaching your body to use your stored fat as fuel sources. This naturally leads to weight loss.

When you first start the keto diet, it can be confusing to know if you are actually in ketosis or not. Some people find using keto ketone test strips a very simple way of monitoring if they are in ketosis.

These can measure the amount of ketones in your urine. This is a quick easy way of knowing for sure you are in ketosis

Try these testing strips to get you going!

Why use Fat Bombs?

When you are shifting from high carbohydrate and high sugar in your diet to a Ketogenic Diet, it can be a big change for your body.

Your body is so used to using glucose for fuel, that it will go into a panic and start looking for sugar…watch out, here come the sugar cravings!

It is so important to push through these cravings while trying to avoid the keto flu.

This is where Keto Fat Bombs can really help!

You need to use the fat bombs as a training food for your body. When you begin to crave sugar, eat a fat bomb.

This will train your body to know that it is fat that it needs to use and to stop asking for sugar!

Because fat bombs are made to train the body, it is very important that your fat bombs have minimal sugar in them.

What will I need?

These are the current top 5 fat bomb recipes we enjoy to support your body to become fat adapted.

ONE: 3 Ingredient KETO Peanut Butter Cups Recipe

These are super easy to make!

They will take about 10 minutes prep time, but take about an hour in the freezer before you can enjoy.

As mentioned in the video you can grab Lily’s Choc Chips, Reusable Cupcake liners, and Organic Coconut Oil here! Super easy!

Net Carbs: 1.5 per bomb

TWO: 2 Ingredient KETO Cookies and Cream Fat Bomb

These fat bombs are simply Coconut Oil and Cookies and Cream Protein Powder – super, super simple!

This  Cookies and Cream Protein Powder is actually zero carbohydrate protein powder. This can be a huge benefit to buy zero carb powder when following the keto diet!

You can also buy Vanilla and Chocolate Zero Carbohydrate protein powder which you could use if you prefer.

Highly suggest using the molds as it allows you to quickly pop the bomb out rather than battling it!

These will also need about an hour in the freezer, although they seem to set quicker than the bombs above. This is likely due to the high fat content.

Net Carbs: 0g – Pretty amazing! All fat and protein

THREE: Cheesecake Fat Bomb

These are a two step fat bomb. You make the cheesecake, then you add a layer of chocolate on top.

These recipe needs natural sweetener, Erythritol. This is a natural sweetener, but you will still need to be mindful that does impact on your body. Limit if possible.

Keep these in the fridge or freezer.

FOUR: Strawberry Cream Cheese Fat Bomb

Another, quick and easy recipe that will need to set for about an hour in the freezer prior to eating.

Much easier to use the Reusable Cupcake liners rather than straight in the muffin tray.

Using fresh strawberries in this recipe will add such a delicious natural taste to them.

Five: Chocolate Fat Bomb

These are super simple and very high in fat.

We would use Reusable Cupcake liners or molds however this technique also works if this is what you have at home!

Super easy to make, enjoy one a day to take away your sweet craving!
